Who We Serve

Youth and young adults of all skill levels — from beginners to competitive athletes.

2. ATHLETE EXPECTATIONS

Athletes are expected to:

  • Arrive on time and ready to train
  • Attend practice regularly
  • Follow coach instructions
  • Show respect to coaches and teammates
  • Maintain good sportsmanship
  • Follow safety rules
  • Report injuries or concerns immediately
  • Maintain proper hygiene (clean gear, trimmed nails, shower after practice)

3. PARENT/GUARDIAN EXPECTATIONS

Parents/Guardians are expected to:

  • Ensure their athlete attends regularly
  • Ensure athlete arrives on time and are prepared
  • Encourage positive behavior
  • Support their athlete with positivity
  • Support coaches and staff
  • Avoid coaching from the sidelines
  • Communicate concerns respectfully
  • Notify coaches of injuries or absences

4. SAFETY POLICIES

Safety is our top priority. We follow strict guidelines:

Supervision
  • Two-adult rule for all youth practices
  • No one-on-one unsupervised interactions
Health & Hygiene
  • No participation with fever, illness, or contagious skin conditions
  • Mats cleaned before every session
  • Athletes must bring water and stay hydrated
Injury Protocol
  • Activity stops immediately
  • First aid provided
  • Parents notified
  • Concussion protocol enforced
  • Incident report completed
Equipment
  • Wrestling shoes required
  • No jewelry
  • Clean clothing each practice

5. CONCUSSION & INJURY POLICY

If a concussion is suspected:

  • Athlete is removed from activity
  • No same-day return
  • Medical clearance required

Parents/Guardians must inform coaches of:

  • Prior injuries
  • Medical conditions
  • Allergies
  • Medications

6. COMMUNICATION PROCEDURES

We communicate through:

Parents/Guardians should:

  • Allow 24 hours before discussing emotionally charged issues
  • Contact coaches outside of practice hours
  • Use respectful, solution-focused communication

7. PRACTICE GUIDELINES

What to Bring

  • Wrestling shoes
  • Athletic clothing
  • Water bottle
  • Headgear (recommended)
  • Mouthguard (required if your child has braces)

Practice Rules

  • No food or drinks on mats
  • No jewelry or hard accessories
  • Bring water bottle
  • No participation if sick or injured
  • No horseplay
  • No unsupervised mat use
  • Parents may observe from designated areas

8. COMPETITION GUIDELINES

Coach Responsibilities
  • Determine match readiness
  • Ensure athlete safety
  • Provide fair mat time
Parent/Guardian Responsibilities
  • Model sportsmanship
  • Respect referee decisions

Athlete Responsibilities
